National Board For Skill & Vocational Training (NBSVT) works with training institutes and skill development centres to support quality vocational education and industry-focused skill training. Affiliated institutes are expected to follow NBSVT academic guidelines, training standards, assessment procedures and certification requirements.

NBSVT works to support skill development and vocational education through structured training, assessment, certification and institutional affiliation. We work with training institutes and skill development centres to promote practical, industry-focused education across different sectors. Our aim is to help institutions maintain suitable training standards, assessment processes and proper academic records.

Any legally registered educational entity meeting the minimum eligibility criteria, including operational history, infrastructure, and faculty requirements, may apply.
The end-to-end process typically takes 8-12 weeks, covering application review, document scrutiny, site verification, and final approval.
Yes, an expert evaluation team conducts a mandatory site visit to verify infrastructure and compliance before approval.
Institutions must undergo periodic monitoring and submit renewal documentation as per the review cycle defined in their affiliation terms.
Terms & Conditions for Affiliation
- Trusts, Societies, Section 8 Companies and proprietorship institutions may apply for affiliation through the online or offline mode.
- Any change of institution name, address, or location must be intimated in writing to the NAAPP programme office in advance.
- Programs offered under affiliation must be conducted as full-time courses; part-time delivery requires prior written permission from the programme office.
- Certain restricted terms may not be used in an institution's registered name without prior regulatory clearance from the concerned authority.
- Institutions running other certificate, diploma, or degree programs must not merge or co-brand those certifications with NAAPP-affiliated programs.
- Minimum facilities required for affiliation include classrooms, practical/lab rooms suited to the program, a front office, rest rooms, a library, and a visible institution name board.
- Affiliation is valid for the academic session for which it is granted. Renewal applications must be submitted at least one month before the affiliation expiry date.
- Unauthorized use of the Government of India emblem, or misrepresentation to the public without NAAPP's consent, is punishable and may lead to cancellation of affiliation.
